Hi! My name is Crystal Meneses and I am an arts activist in Oregon. You might be wondering, "What is an arts activist?" An arts activist is a person who activates arts in their community. A news reporter gave me this title and I have decided to go with it!! I have been organizing arts in community for the past 20 years and now want to guide others in how to activate arts in their communities. I am a creative of many disciplines including music, visual arts, and writing. Activate Arts is a non-profit platform that I use to guide arts activist of all ages. This website is a home for my personal arts activism, community projects, and the Arts Activism Blog. My wish is that this becomes a space for arts activists in Oregon to grow, share, collaborate, and inspire action.
